The Blade Bloke's sharpening bench with whetstones, a strop and knives Meet The Blade Bloke

One bloke. A proper edge.

I'm Matt, the bloke behind the blades. I started sharpening because I was sick of seeing good knives and tools chucked out or left to go blunt when a proper edge brings them right back to life.

Every blade is sharpened on a Tormek water-cooled, low-RPM system, so the steel never overheats and loses its temper. It removes minimal metal and sets very precise bevels, and it's Japanese-knife friendly. No rushed jobs, no chewed-up edges. Kitchen, hunting and chef knives, high-end Japanese and German steel, serrated knives, cleavers, chisels, axes and scissors: if it's meant to cut, I'll make it cut like new.

  • Tormek water-cooled, no overheating
  • Japanese, German & high-end steel
  • Repairs, restoration & polishing
  • Local, friendly & reliable
